Talk:Custom local repository
From ArchWiki
I would like to cleanup that page and only keep the official repo-add way. I don't see why we need to keep the old gensync way, which is not even included anymore in the pacman package. Nor the python way, which is currently broken : http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11264 and that link is dead : http://four.fsphost.com/gradgrind Please discuss :)

Ok, Dan took care of it in 6 minutes, and exactly how I wanted, so all is fine now :) --shining 11:03, 20 August 2008 (EDT)
Pathname Error?
I couldn't use the format you had for database additions.
What you had:
- repo-add /path/to/repo.db.tar.gz *.pkg.tar.gz
What I had to use:
- repo-add /path-to-my-repo/repo.db.tar.gz /path-to-my-repo/*.pkg.tar.gz
Maybe we need that section tweaked a bit? What do you think?
Thanks. - KitchM 01:03, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
I tweaked the section a bit. --shining 07:30, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
