[https://jitsi.org Jitsi] is a set of open-source projects that allows you to easily build and deploy secure videoconferencing solutions. At the heart of Jitsi are Jitsi Videobridge and Jitsi Meet, which let you have conferences on the internet, while other projects from the community enable other features such as audio, dial-in, recording, and simulcasting.

== Installation ==

{{ic|Jitsi-meet}} consists of 4 components:
* {{ic|jitsi-meet}}: the files for the webinterface, accessed via files served by a webserver
* {{ic|jitsi-videobridge}}: the video bridging service providing video streams to all participants
* {{ic|jicofo}}: the Jitsi conference focus determining who is speaking
* [[Prosody]]: a free XMPP server serving as the base of the setup

A graphical overview of the interfaces to the user and towards each other is given [https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/manual-install.md here].

All {{ic|jitsi-meet}} components exist in two flavours of which you have to install one set:
* Either the stable packages: {{AUR|jitsi-meet}}, {{AUR|jitsi-videobridge}}, and {{AUR|jicofo}},
* or the git packages: {{AUR|jitsi-meet-git}}, {{AUR|jitsi-videobridge-git}}, and {{AUR|jicofo-git}},
* or the binaries: {{AUR|jitsi-meet-bin}}, {{AUR|jitsi-videobridge-bin}}, and {{AUR|jicofo-bin}}.

The git packages reflect the latest stable version from upstream, while the binary packages are build from the provided debian packages.

{{Note|Configuration paths and services in {{AUR|jitsi-meet-bin}}, {{AUR|jitsi-videobridge-bin}}, and {{AUR|jicofo-bin}} packages differ and are explained in a separate section.}}

{{Note|The [https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/manual-install.md manual install guide] is already OS agnostic, the only change you have to make is trusting the certificate, which you can do like so:

trust anchor /var/lib/prosody/auth.meet.example.com.crt
}}

== Configuration ==

{{Note|This configuration yields an open server for everyone to connect. Refer to the [https://jitsi.org/blog/security/ Jitsi philosophy] for rationale. See tips section for authentication.}}

If your server name is {{ic|example.com}} then a common choice for your jitsi will be {{ic|meet.example.com}}, but you can choose freely. It is however strongly encouraged from security standpoint to host webapps on their own subdomain. You will need to update DNS record for your server with an entry of your chosen subdomain, in the above example {{ic|meet}}. The remainder assumes that you have done this.

Also you should have SSL/TLS certificates for your {{ic|meet.example.com}} domain, on how to obtain free certificates see [[certbot]].

In the following, the following placeholders are used:

* {{ic|JITSIFQDN}}: your {{ic|jitsi-meet}} domain, e.g. {{ic|meet.example.com}}
* {{ic|SECRET1}}: password for the videobridge
* {{ic|SECRET2}}: password for the focus chooser
* {{ic|SECRET3}}: password for the authenticator

Passwords should be obtained in a safe way, e.g. via {{ic|mktemp -u XXXXXXXX}} or via {{ic|pwgen}}.
'''Make sure to use different and safe passwords!'''

==== Configure prosody ====

{{Pkg|prosody}} is a prerequisite and you will need to add a configuration to it for your Jitsi services. If you do not already have a prosody server set up, install {{Pkg|prosody}} and {{Pkg|lua52-sec}} now. The rest of the prosody configuration assumes you have a local install of prosody.

You can add the following config to a the {{ic|prosody}} config file directly or include it from an external file.

{{hc|/etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua|2=
VirtualHost "'''JITSIFQDN'''"
authentication = "anonymous"
ssl = {
key = "/var/lib/prosody/'''JITSIFQDN'''.key";
certificate = "/var/lib/prosody/'''JITSIFQDN'''.crt";
}
modules_enabled = {
"bosh";
"pubsub";
}
c2s_require_encryption = false

VirtualHost "auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''"
ssl = {
key = "/var/lib/prosody/'''JITSIFQDN'''.key";
certificate = "/var/lib/prosody/auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''.crt";
}
authentication = "internal_plain"
admins = { "focus@auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''" }

Component "conference.'''JITSIFQDN'''" "muc"

Component "jitsi-videobridge.'''JITSIFQDN'''"
component_secret = "'''SECRET1'''"

Component "focus.${JITSIFQDN}"
component_secret = "'''SECRET2'''"
}}

Generate the certificates that prosody needs. This is interactive:

prosodyctl cert generate '''JITSIFQDN'''

prosodyctl cert generate auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''

Register the focus user:

prosodyctl register focus auth.'''JITSIFQDN''' '''SECRET3'''

Trust the certificate:

trust anchor /var/lib/prosody/auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''.crt

Then [[restart]] the {{ic|prosody}} service (or [[start/enable]] prosody if it was just installed).

==== Configure jitsi-videobridge ====

The configuration for jitsi-videobridge

{{hc|/etc/jitsi-videobridge/jitsi-videobridge.conf|2=
flags="--host=localhost --domain='''JITSIFQDN''} --port=5347 --secret='''SECRET1'''"
}}

If you want to have logging and sip communicator settings in the same folder you can do the following

{{hc|/etc/jitsi-videobridge/jitsi-videobridge.conf|2=
VIDEOBRIDGE_DEBUG_OPTIONS="-Djava.util.logging.config.file=/etc/jitsi-videobridge/logging.properties -Dnet.java.sip.communicator.SC_HOME_DIR_NAME=jitsi-videobridge -Dnet.java.sip.communicator.SC_HOME_DIR_LOCATION=/etc
}}

{{hc|/etc/jitsi-videobridge/sip-communicator.properties|2=
org.jitsi.videobridge.AUTHORIZED_SOURCE_REGEXP=focus@auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''/.*
org.jitsi.impl.neomedia.transform.srtp.SRTPCryptoContext.checkReplay=false
org.jitsi.videobridge.TCP_HARVESTER_PORT=4443
}}

and copy {{ic|/opt/jitsi-videobridge/lib/logging.properties}} to {{ic|/etc/jitsi-videobridge/logging.properties}}.

Then [[start/enable]] the {{ic|jitsi-videobridge}} service.

==== Configure jicofo ====

{{hc|/etc/jicofo/jicofo.conf|2=
flags="--host=localhost --domain='''JITSIFQDN''' --secret='''SECRET2''' --user_domain=auth.'''JITSIFQDN''' --user_name=focus --user_password='''SECRET3'''"
}}

Then [[start/enable]] the {{ic|jicofo}} service.

==== Configure jitsi-meet ====

{{hc|/opt/jitsi-meet/config.js|2=
var domainroot = "'''JITSIFQDN'''"
var config = {
hosts: {
domain: domainroot,
muc: 'conference.'+domainroot,
bridge: 'jitsi-videobridge.'+domainroot,
focus: 'focus.'+domainroot
},
useNicks: false,
bosh: '//'+domainroot+'/http-bind',
}
}}

==== Configure nginx ====

Configure [[nginx]] with TLS as described in [[nginx#TLS]] and use the following configuration in the relevant {{ic|server}} block for the Jitsi-meet components as shown in its documentation.

{{bc|<nowiki>
server {
...

# set the root
root /opt/jitsi-meet;
index index.html;

location ~ ^/([a-zA-Z0-9=?]+)$ {
rewrite ^/(.*)$ / break;
}

location / {
ssi on;
}

# BOSH
location /http-bind {
proxy_pass http://localhost:5280/http-bind;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
}

# xmpp websockets
location /xmpp-websocket {
proxy_pass http://localhost:5280/xmpp-websocket;
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
proxy_set_header Host $host;
tcp_nodelay on;
}
}
</nowiki>}}

Then [[restart]] the {{ic|nginx}} service.

=== Configuration for bin packages ===

Since the binary packages are build from debian packages, their configuration layout differs from the above.
The main configuration files live in
/etc/jitsi/meet
/etc/jitsi/jicofo
/etc/jitsi/videobridge

and the webserver webroot is {{ic|/usr/share/jitsi-meet}}.

Make sure to use the following settings:
{{hc|/etc/jitsi/videobridge/config|2=
JVB_OPTS="--apis=xmpp"
HOST=localhost
HOSTNAME='''JITSIFQDN'''
}}

{{hc|/etc/jitsi/jicofo/config|2=
JICOFO_AUTH_DOMAIN=auth.'''JITSIFQDN'''
HOST=localhost
HOSTNAME='''JITSIFQDN'''
}}

== Tips and tricks ==

=== Running the server behind a NAT ===

The following ports need to be forwarded to your server:

HTTPS:

*TCP/443

Jitsi Videobridge:

*TCP/4443
*UDP/10000

=== Jitsi gateway to SIP (Jigasi) ===

To interface the Jitsi-meet meetings with traditional SIP install {{AUR|jigasi}} or {{AUR|jigasi-git}} and edit the prosody config:

{{hc|/etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua|2=
Component "callcontrol.'''JITSIFQDN'''"
component_secret = "'''SECRET4'''"
}}

fill the SIP access credentials ({{ic|SIPUSER}} {{ic|SIPSERVER}} and {{ic|SIPPASSWORD}})
{{hc|/opt/jigasi/jigasi-home/sip-communicator.properties|2=
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1403273890647.ACCOUNT_UID=SIP\:"SIPUSER@SIPSERVER"
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1403273890647.PASSWORD=SIPPASSWORD
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1403273890647.SERVER_ADDRESS=SIPSERVER
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.acc1403273890647.USER_ID=SIPUSER
}}

To change the default room name SIP is connecting to, change {{ic|org.jitsi.jigasi.DEFAULT_JVB_ROOM_NAME}} in the above config.

Then edit the jigasi configuration
{{hc|/etc/jigasi/config|2=
JIGASI_HOST=callcontrol.'''JITSIFQDN'''
JIGASI_HOSTNAME=jitsi-videobridge.'''JITSIFQDN'''
JIGASI_SECRET='''SECRET4'''
JIGASI_OPTS=""
LOGFILE=/var/log/jitsi/jigasi.log
}}

{{hc|/opt/jitsi-meet/config.js|2=
hosts.call_control = 'callcontrol.meet.jit.si'
}}

and then [[start/enable|start/enable]] {{ic|jigasi.service}}.

=== Access restrictions for room creation ===

{{Note|The paths in this section refer to the stable or -git packages and might differ for the -bin packages.}}

To restrict video conference room '''creation''' to authenticated users, you can do the following steps.
Note that participants to the meeting are still not authenticated!

Add authentication to the jitsi domain in prosody and add a new virtual host for guests:
{{hc|/etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua|2=
...
VirtualHost "'''JITSIFQDN'''"
...
authentication = "internal_plain"

VirtualHost "guest.'''JITSIFQDN'''"
authentication = "anonymous"
c2s_require_encryption = false
...
}}

Edit the config file for {{ic|jitsi-meet}}:
{{hc|/opt/config.js|2=

var config = {
hosts: {
domain: ''''JITSIFQDN'''',
anonymousdomain: 'guest.'''JITSIFQDN'''',
...
},
...
}
}}

Add authentication for {{ic|jicofo}} argument string:
{{hc|/etc/jicofo/jicofo.conf|2=
-Dorg.jitsi.jicofo.auth.URL=XMPP:jitsi-meet.example.com
}}

Then create the desired users via
prosodyctl register <username> '''JITSIFQDN''' <password>

Only if you are using {{ic|jigasi}} (if you don't know, you don't) edit the SIP interface to not allow anonymouse authentication:
{{hc|/etc/jitsi/jigasi/sip-communicator.properties|2=
org.jitsi.jigasi.xmpp.acc.ANONYMOUS_AUTH=false
}}

These steps are taken from [https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo#secure-domain this guide].

=== Log evaluation ===

For a publicly available IP address the above config leads to a public video conference server.
To monitor server use one can use systemd logging to get an at least vague idea of the usage:
journalctl --unit jicofo.service | grep "Created new focus" | cut -d" " -f7,8,16
shows all events of new chat room creation and
journalctl --unit jicofo.service | grep "Disposed conference for room" | cut -d" " -f7,8,16
shows all events of chat room destruction.

Grepping for 'member' also gives you (anonymous!) information on the participants.

=== Running own STUN server ===
By default, Jitsi Meet uses STUN servers from jitsi.org. You can easily run your own STUN server using {{Pkg|coturn}} and setting it in jitsi-meet's config.
{{i18n|MySQL}}

$ mysql -p -u root

Para iniciar MySQL al arranque agrega
mysqld
a la lista de demonios en
/etc/rc.conf
o agrega
/etc/rc.d/mysqld start
a
/etc/rc.local
.

mysqld: ALL

=Como resetear la contraseña del Root=
Deten el demonio mysqld
# /etc/rc.d/mysqld stop
# mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &
Conectar al servidor mysql
# mysql -u root mysql
Cambia la contraseña del root:
mysql> UPDATE user SET password=PASSWORD("NEW_PASSWORD") WHERE User='root';
mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
mysql> exit
Entonces reinicia el demonio:
# /etc/rc.d/mysqld restart
Listo.
Menos 16https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Pdnsd_(Espa%C3%B1ol)&diff=141033Pdnsd (Español)2011-05-10T21:11:18Z
Menos 16:

[[Category:Redes (Español)]]

==Introducción==

'''pdnsd''' es un servidor DNS (''Domain Name System'') diseñado con el propósito de realizar lo que se conoce como ''local caching'' (almacenamiento local) de información relevante a este protocolo, funcionalidad que ''bind'' y ''dnsmasq'' no poseen; de hecho, la '''p''' indica su cualidad de ''persistant''.

===Características===

==Instalación==

# pacman -S pdnsd

==Configuración==

===Preparación===

# cp /etc/pdnsd.conf.sample /etc/pdnsd.conf

===Formato===

* Las secciones deben encerrarse entre llaves: '''{}''' y no podrán anidarse.
* Las opciones y sus respectivos valores deben especificarse como sigue: {{Codeline|1=nombre_de_la_opción=valor;}}
Note que el punto y coma (''';''') '''NO''' es opcional.

===Servidores DNS===

* '''label'''
* '''ip'''
* '''file'''

===OpenDNS===

===Seguridad===

# groupadd pdnsd
# useradd -r -d /var/cache/pdnsd -g pdnsd -s /bin/false pdnsd

{{Box BLUE|Nota:|Se sugirió {{Filename|/var/cache/pdnsd}} como directorio principal del usuario ya que será en donde pdnsd guardará el fichero de ''cache''.}}

Vuelva ahora a {{Filename|/etc/pdnsd.conf}}.

# chown -R pdnsd:pdnsd /var/cache/pdnsd
# chmod 700 /var/cache/pdnsd
# chmod 600 /var/cache/pdnsd/pdnsd.cache

{{Box BLUE|Nota:|En el primer comando, reemplace ''pdnsd:pdnsd'' por el usuario y grupo creados anteriormente.}}

===Examinación===

$ nslookup www.google.com 127.0.0.1

Ejecute:
$ dig archlinux.org|grep "Query time"

===Configuración del Sistema===

====Líneas Generales====

Si usted utiliza DHCP (''Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol'') para configurar su red, deberá editar {{Filename|/etc/resolv.conf.head}} (o directamente {{Filename|/etc/resolv.conf}}) añadiendo a pdnsd como primera entrada:

# pdnsd cache en localhost
nameserver 127.0.0.1

# /etc/rc.d/network restart

====Para Usuarios de Banda Ancha====

neg_rrs_pol=on;
par_queries=1;

Dentro de la sección {{Codeline|server}}:
proxy_only=on;
purge_cache=off;

Le explicaremos cada opción a continuación:

* {{Codeline|1=neg_rrs_pol=on}} indica que las respuestas ''negativas'' (vea las especificaciones del protocolo DNS para ''negative response'') no serán descartadas, incluso si éstas no son ''authoritatives''. Esto es importante ya que la observación de varias respuestas DNS revelerá que existe un gran número de ''requests'' (pedidos o consultas) sobre registros AAAA (vinculados a IPv6) que nunca serán respondidas puesto que muchos dominios aún no utilizan IPv6; lo mismo sucede con los registros MX. Sin esta política (''negative caching'') habilitada, esta clase de consultas serán realizadas aún luego de haber guardado el nombre de dominio correspondiente a la principal de las mismas. Es importante que en conjunción a esta opción se especifique {{Codeline|1=proxy_only=on;}} para minimizar la cantidad total de consultas que se enviarán.

* La opción {{Codeline|1=par_queries=1;}} es útil si especifica más de un servidor DNS en la sección {{Codeline|server}}. Indica la cantidad de consultas que pdnsd realizará simultáneamente. Si alguno de los servidores consultados falla, pdnsd consultará al siguiente en la lista (o a los siguientes simultáneamente, en caso que haya especificado un número mayor que uno). Esta opción puede aumentar el tráfico de paquetes en su red, úsela con precaución.

* {{Codeline|1=proxy_only=on;}} indica que pdnsd sólo acutará como intermediario, es decir, se dedicará únicamente a gestionar las consultas y sus respuestas. Si esta opción es deshabilitada, pdnsd intentará actuar como un servidor DNS real, resolviendo ''jerárquicamente'' (''hierarchical resolution'') los nombres de dominio, es decir, resolviendo hasta toparse con el servidor ''authoritative'' (''con autoridad''). Como se dijo anteriormente, habilitar esta opción ayuda a reducir el tráfico de paquetes DNS, incrementando el desempeño en general.

* Por su parte, {{Codeline|1=purge_cache=off}} indica que pdnsd no borrará entradas antiguas del ''cache'', es decir, que se hayan conservado por más tiempo que el estipulado por sus valores TTL (''Time To Live'') correspondientes. Esto puede ser muy útil, por ejemplo, ante un problema con los servidores provistos por su ISP, ya que de todas formas podrá continuar accediendo a los registros que pdnsd guardó en su ''cache''.

==Extras==

===Bloqueo de Nombres===

* {{Codeline|name}}
* {{Codeline|types}}

==Preguntas Frecuentes==

* '''P) No percibo diferencias en la rapidez. ¿Por qué?'''

= Getting Started =

==Full Guide==
Thanks to narada; he is the author of this guide.
You can find it at:
[http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=77729]

== Starting Fluxbox ==
=== Method 1: KDM/GDM ===
Users of [[KDM]] or [[GDM]] will find a new fluxbox entry added to their session menu automatically. Simply choose the fluxbox option when logging in.

=== Method 2: ~/.xinitrc ===
Edit {{Filename|~/.xinitrc}} and add the following code:
exec fluxbox
or if you would like to use the 'startfluxbox' file, add this line instead:
exec startfluxbox
startfluxbox is the recommended method, as this will also execute any programs defined in {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/startup}}.

{{Note | There can only be one exec line in your {{Filename|~/.xinitrc}} file.}}

If it crashes on startup, it may be a locale problem. Setting LC_ALL to the default "C" locale, may avoid this crash. [http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=25797 1].

= Configuration =
== Menu Management ==
=== Built-in method ===
Built-in command:
$ fluxbox-generate_menu
This command will generate a ~/.fluxbox/menu/ file based on your installed programs. There is also "helper / regenerate menu" in the fluxbox menu.

=== MenuMaker ===
[http://menumaker.sourceforge.net/ MenuMaker] is a powerful tool that creates XML-based menus for a variety of Window Managers, including Fluxbox. MenuMaker will search your computer for executable programs and create a menu based on the results. It can be configured to exclude Legacy X, GNOME, KDE, or Xfce applications if desired.

MenuMaker is available in [community] via pacman:
# pacman -S menumaker

Once installed, you can generate a complete menu by running:
$ mmaker -v Fluxbox

To see a full list of options, run '''mmaker --help'''

=== Arch Linux Xdg menu ===
Requires [http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=10535 Arch Linux xdg menu]

$ xdg_menu --fullmenu --format fluxbox --root-menu /etc/xdg/menus/arch-applications.menu >~/.fluxbox/menu
'''Tip:''' replace default xterm/urxvt:
$ sed -i 's/xterm/urxvt/g' ~/.fluxbox/menu
More info:
$ xdg_menu --help

''See also: [[XdgMenu]]''

=== Creating a custom menu with fluxconf ===
To start the menu section of fluxconf run:
$ fluxmenu
In the window you will see three columns: Type, Title, & Command/Comment.

Clicking on an entry in this will allow you to edit it.

Clicking on "Add sub" will add a submenu.

Clicking on "Add exec" will add a command.

The type column has several valid options:
#begin, required to start the menu file. The title option is the menu header.

#submenu, a "folder" inside the menu. Title is the name of the submenu.

#exec, a command line. Title is what is shown and Command/Comment is the command to be executed.
#separator, a divider in the menu. No arguments to this one.
#workspaces, a list of workspaces and what applications are running on each. Title is what will be shown to the user.
#stylesdir, a directory containing styles. Title is the path to the dir. Recommended that you put this into its own subdirectory as it can get quite large. directories to use: /usr/share/fluxbox/styles ~/.fluxbox/styles .
#config, a menu with many options for configuring behavior of fluxbox. Title is the name of the menu shown to the user.
#reconfig, reloads the config file. Title is the title shown to the user.
#restart, restarts fluxbox. Title is the title shown to the user.
#exit, exit fluxbox, will drop back to the desktop manager or exit X depending on the startup method you used. Title is the title shown to the user.

Remember to hit save before closing

=== Manually create/edit the menu ===
Use command:
$ nano ~/.fluxbox/menu
Then write lines in this style:
[exec] (name) {command}
If you want to make submenu write:
[submenu] (Name)
...
...
[end]
When done save and exit. There is no need to restart fluxbox.

== Hotkeys ==
Fluxbox offers basic hotkeys functionality. The fluxbox key file is located at:
~/.fluxbox/keys
Control key is represented by "Control". Mod1 corresponds to Alt and Mod4 corresponds to Meta (not a standard key but many map meta to the win key)

Here is a quick way of controlling your Master volume, using CTRL-ALT+ Arrow up or down:
Control Mod1 Up :Exec amixer set Master,0 5%+
Control Mod1 Down :Exec amixer set Master,0 5%-

If you installed fluxconf, you may use its method of editing this in GUI with the command:
$ fluxkeys

The First text box is for a button and the second is for an action. Select execCommand to set a command and put the name of the command into the 3rd text box.

More functions of this can be used from the 2nd text box (A drop down menu is available)

== Workspaces ==
Fluxbox defaults to having four workspaces. These are accessible using Alt+F1-F4 shortcuts, or the arrows on the toolbar next to where it says '''one'''.

Right clicking on desktop and going to your Workspaces menu (menumaker users: FluxBox>Workspaces, fluxconf users: the workspaces title) will let you interact with the workspaces.

Workspaces Menu:
Icons - shows minimized applications
--separator--
Workspaces names (default: one,two,three,four) - Shows all the applications on that desktop
--separator--
New Workspace - Adds a workspace
Edit Current workspace name - lets you title your workspace whatever you want. Will show up on the left side of the toolbar
Remove Last - Removes the last workspace on the list, dumps all of the applications running on that desktop into the one before it

== Background ==
Setting the background requires a background setter. you will need to install one of these packages:
*eterm
*feh (lacks menu transparency).

There are others but these are the most recommended two, to see others check out the fbsetbg documentation in the "Additional Links section"
To set the background:
$ fbsetbg /path/to/background.image

You can also add (or modify) the following line to the file ~/.fluxbox/init to something like this:
session.screen0.rootCommand: fbsetbg /path/to/wallpaper

Or simply:
session.screen0.rootCommand: fbsetbg -l

====Additional notes for people who like to change wallpaper a lot====

Place the following submenu in your fluxbox menu
[submenu] (Backgrounds)
[wallpapers] (~/.fluxbox/backgrounds)
[wallpapers] (/usr/share/fluxbox/backgrounds)
[end]
Then put your background images into ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds or any other folder you specify, they will then appear in the same fashion as your styles.\

=== Feh ===
Install feh with:
# pacman -S feh
You may add a quick submenu to your {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/menu}} file which will allow you to change backgrounds on-the-fly:
[submenu] (Wallpaper)
[wallpapers] (/path/to/your/wallpapers) {feh --bg-scale}
[end]

To make sure fluxbox will load feh background next time start:

'''1.''' Make {{Filename|.fehbg}} executable:
$ chmod 770 ~/.fehbg

'''2.''' Then add (or modify) the following line to the file {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/init}}:
session.screen0.rootCommand: ~/.fehbg

'''3.''' or add (or modify) the following line to the file {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/startup}}:
~/.fehbg

== Theming ==
To install a theme extract the archive to a stylesdir the default ones are:
*global - /usr/share/fluxbox/styles
*user only - ~/.fluxbox/styles
Links to some theme sites are provided below.

== GTK2 Themes ==
''See: [[GTK+]]''

== Autostarting Applications ==
xinitrc users should put all code into {{Filename|~/.xinitrc}}. However, fluxbox provides functionality to autostart applications on its own.

The {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/startup}} file is a script for autostarting applications as well as starting fluxbox itself. The # symbol denotes a comment.

A sample file:
fbsetbg -l <nowiki>#</nowiki> sets the last background set, very useful and recommended.
<nowiki>#</nowiki> In the below commands the ampersand symbol (&) is required on all applications that do not terminate immediately.
<nowiki>#</nowiki> failure to provide them will cause fluxbox not to start.
idesk &
xterm &
<nowiki>#</nowiki> exec is for starting fluxbox itself, don't put an ampersand (&) after this or fluxbox will exit immediately
exec /usr/bin/fluxbox
<nowiki>#</nowiki> or if you want to keep a log, uncomment the below command and comment out the above command:
<nowiki>#</nowiki> exec /usr/bin/fluxbox -log ~/.fluxbox/log

== A life after xorg.conf ==
Xorg no longer requires an xorg.conf file. Traditionally this is where you would change your keyboard settings and powersave settings. Luckily there are elegant solutions not using xorg.conf.

=== Setting your keyboard right ===
Just add the following line to {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/startup}}:
setxkbmap us -variant intl & # to have a us keyboard with special characters enabled (like éóíáú)

Instead of 'us' you can also pass your language code and remove the variant option. See man setxkbmap for more options.

To make a help function in your menu, just add in {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/menu}}:
[submenu] (Keyboard)
[exec] (normal) {setxkbmap us}
[exec] (international) {setxkbmap us -variant intl}
[end]

=== Disable Powersave ===
Do you recognize the problem while watching a movie that the screen goes blank? Congratulations, Xorg just detected that you were doing nothing :). If you don't need these movement exercises, you can disable this feature altogether. You'll just have to remember to manually turn off your monitor if you're not using it.

Just add the following line at the start of {{Filename|~/.fluxbox/startup}}:
xset s off -dpms &

==¿Porque debería usar Opera?==

* Es rápido y liviano.
* Cumple con los estándares.
* Es muy personalizable.
* Fuera de la caja provee navegación web con gestos del mouse y ad-blocking, cliente de mail, cliente bittorrent y cliente IRC ¡todo en uno! Entre otras cosas...
* Tiene un toque profesional: '''no software inflado, no escapes de memoria, no congelamientos, no desplomes'''.

==¿Porque no debería usar Opera?==

* No es [http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html Libre]. Es [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proprietary_software software propietario].
* Si usted es usuario de GNOME o de algun window manager basado en GTK+, requiere cargar bibliotecas adicionales, ya que Opera es una aplicación [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qt_(toolkit) Qt].
* Algunas paginas web no se mostrarán de forma correcta porque esas paginas no siguen los estándares de la web (Opera se apega a los estándares).

==¿Como instalo Opera?==
# pacman -S opera

Si usted quiere que Opera 9.5 use Qt4 en lugar de Qt3, puede instalar [http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15228 opera-devel-qt4] desde [[AUR]].

===Fuentes de Microsoft y Opera===

===Opciones Adicionales===

* Para remover el icono de la barra de tareas, ejecute Opera con la opción ''-notrayicon''.
* Para que los menus luzcan de mejor manera, haga
# pacman -S polymer
* Para deshabilitar las fuentes "feas" non anti-aliased, escriba opera:config en la barra de direcciones de Opera, despues busque "core X fonts" y desactivelas.
* Para mejorar el rendimiento del plugin (flash) en opera, escriba este comando antes de iniciar Opera o agréguelo a /etc/profile:
# export OPERAPLUGINWRAPPER_PRIORITY=0

===Solución de problemas===

* Si usted tiene el siguiente error:

/usr/lib/opera/9.27-20080331.6/opera: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

haga un enlace simbólico (como root):
# ln -s /opt/qt/lib/libqt-mt.so.3 /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3
Menos 16
