Introduction edits

Regarding [1], this is already an overview, or "orientation", article, i.e. basically a list of links to other articles with short descriptions. Making an overview of an overview, with duplicated links, in the introduction seems too redundant to me, what is the big-picture intention behind those edits? -- Kynikos (talk) 10:42, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Removing / moving the rest of the article. --Larivact (talk) 11:43, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
Hmm I see, I generally appreciate your effort, but in my opinion a bulleted list isn't enough to give body to an article: if there was another page where to merge it, that would be my favorite format too, but I can't think of any suitable articles, so for the moment I've restored a more standard section-based layout, let's see what other users think. -- Kynikos (talk) 17:00, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
In my opinion this article looks better with separate sections instead of a simple bulleted list.
My complaint with these recent changes is that in Special:Diff/517383 the links to DE and WM autostarting sections were removed, forcing the readers to hunt for the sections themselves. -- nl6720 (talk) 17:54, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
The sections indeed look better. I readded the direct anchor references I recently removed. Special:Diff/517447,Special:Diff/517448--Larivact (talk) 18:28, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
Ah well, we all agree, so we can close the discussion then, thanks. -- Kynikos (talk) 05:03, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

On bootup/shutdown the text only links to systemd wiki page, and there isn't any example of how to do autostarting at bootup. In forum, there's is an example at [2]. It would be useful if this example is in the wiki. --Juanmah (talk) 19:30, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
