I saw you reverted my edit. Either I'm stupid or this really isn't that straightforward for someone who haven't done this a lot. It took me an hour to figure it out and I thought I save other's time by sharing it. I got confused because trying to use the web interface to add the CUPS server on a client didn't do much good (it wanted drivers from me on the client, while the server has already had them) and it's actually very easy to add the print queue if you know its URL. --Zoe1337 (talk) 20:58, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- Greetings, and welcome to the wiki!
- The problem with quick examples is that they tend to bitrot - ideally everything would live in a single place, in this case the CUPS page which details client configuration.
- If you think that CUPS#Network 2 and CUPS#CLI tools could be improved to clarify things, or alternatively that this page could be improved (maybe to clarify that it is only for server configuration, or to better link back to CUPS), feel free to make edits or discuss further here.
