Mention passing {ic|-uu}} to pacman

Passing -u twice to pacman makes it possible to downgrade a version of a pacman, according to the output of pacman -S --help. It would be nice if this was mentioned here. -- Josephgbr (talk) 22:49, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

AUR packages rollback

Apparently current page already mentions how to install an older version of package from AUR by checking out older PKGBUILD. Nevertheless, there's a lot of "*-git" or "*-hg" packages, which do not quite fall under that description, since their PKGBUILD does not change with the version. For experienced users it's obvious how to find previous (working) version of a package and build it. But it might be and issue for a newbie. Or, perhaps, would it make sense put relevant section to Arch_User_Repository? Gmy (talk) 22:19, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I doubt that downgrading AUR packages and especially the VCS ones can be summarized with a general advice. Downgrading an AUR package might actually require a rebuild and the process depends on the package type as well as tools used by the user. -- Lahwaacz (talk) 12:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Mentioning package version

It would be nice to mention that pacman package==version may be of help. Ynikitenko (talk) 19:09, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
