Translating Fcitx (简体中文)

There are some chunks of information on the Chinese page about the Chinese input methods, and about cloudpinyin. Do these need translating as well, or is it okay to have the current concise oneliner descriptions about each input method?

IMHO it would be nice to have them translated since these are sometimes useful for discussion or packagers that are not necessarily Chinese. However, this should have a relatively low priority.

I am relatively good at english, and good enough in Chinese (simplified) (I use traditional) so I will translate it.

Apparently the Simplified chinese page is a bit different. I'll try to translate it from scratch.

I'll work on it too, maybe we can collaborate? Icedwater (talk) 16:05, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

"Extra key for trigger input method" default setting is annoying

There may be a reason why it's been done this way, so I won't call it a bug, but this setting defaults to "SHIFT Both", meaning any time one uses either shift key the IME will be toggled. This is extremely disruptive while typing in a language that uses roman characters. In addition to the setting itself being an annoyance, for reasons I do not yet understand it tends to be reset to default often. I went ahead and added a section about this at the head of Troubleshooting. I've also added a note about making fcitx's configuration immutable--it may seem like an extreme solution, but not after you have felt the debilitating and infurating futility of attempting to type while either shift key may randomly initiate or terminate IME input at any moment (it's enough to make you throw your keyboard out the window, no joke.) quequotion (talk) 15:22, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
