informations on special firmwares

Hi,

i had some difficulties to upgrade my hard drive firmware as provided by Seagate[1] (only in ISO9660 format, and i don't have an optical drive). I would like to add the solution i came to (described at http://user.p0d.org/articles/shell/iso9660_to_usb.html#content).

Would the "Flashing BIOS from Linux" be the right page?

Thank you for your input.

I don't think this is the right page, maybe we could expand the scope of Optical Disc Drive#DVD ripping instead to include also situations like this. -- Kynikos (talk) 10:07, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
See also GRUB#Booting ISO9660 image file directly via GRUB. -- Kynikos (talk) 07:45, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Outdated

Moved from the main page. -- Alad (talk) 18:34, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

As of 2015-03-14 geteltoritoAUR has been flaged out of date. However, the script geteltorito.pl has been updated 2015-02-25 by the developer Reiner Krienke. Only the AUR package is outdated. Make shure you download the latest geteltorito.pl manually from the developers page

The correct way to handle this is file an AUR request, like so: [2] -- Alad (talk) 18:37, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
