Incorrect information about GPT partitions
It isn't GPT that limits a disk to 4 primary partitions, it is MBR. The only reason this applies to Macs is because Bootcamp makes a kind of GPT/MBR hybrid for older versions of windows, in which case you WOULD only be able to have 4 partitions. I have my mac triple booted, using 5 regular partitions and it works fine.

On debian/sid i managed to get it working, and i confirm changing backlight using ACPI call doesn't work.
