Upgrading to linux 4.12

The new u-boot img didn't work for me. Did anyone else get it to work? Jazztickets (talk) 16:30, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

This was tested on an Orange Pi One. Jazztickets (talk) 16:30, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

UBoot build instructions for PC2 does not work

Under the command:

   $ make ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-linux-gnu- -j4 PLAT=sun50iw1p1 DEBUG=1 bl31

is suggested, however this fails with error:

make_helpers/ *** "Error: Invalid platform. The following platforms are available: fvp|hikey|hikey960|juno|mt6795|mt8173|poplar|qemu|rk3328|rk3368|rk3399|tegra|uniphier|zynqmp". Stopping.

I'm running Arch Linux with the following cross compilation packets installed:

   community/aarch64-linux-gnu-binutils 2.29.1-1 [installed]
A set of programs to assemble and manipulate binary and object files for the ARM64 target
   community/aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc 7.2.0-1 [installed]
The GNU Compiler Collection - cross compiler for ARM64 target
   community/aarch64-linux-gnu-gdb 8.0.1-1
The GNU Debugger for the ARM64 target
   community/aarch64-linux-gnu-glibc 2.26-1 [installed]
       GNU C Library ARM64 target
   community/aarch64-linux-gnu-linux-api-headers 4.14-1 [installed]
Kernel headers sanitized for use in userspace (aarch64-linux-gnu)

Maybe there is additional packages needed? Tirithen (talk) 10:48, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Keyring Issue

I followed the wiki without any problems at all. Worked first time. Oh so Apple!

However I couldn't complete pacman -Syu because of keyring corruption errors during "integrity checks"

After stumbling around I fixed the problem with:

pacman-key --init

pacman-key --populate archlinuxarm
