Talk:RAID Encryption LVM
Wouldn't it make more sense to create the encryption layer on top of lvm, instead of creating lvm on top of encryption? At least mkinitcpio will only unlock an encrypted volume if it is your root device, so booting from that is currently not implemented. brain0 16:01, 24 September 2006 (PDT)
Arch 0.7.2 dated 5 Oct. 2006 has all luks related packages. So there is no caveat with Arch 0.7.2 you just need the twopa recent iso!
Create RAID arrays section --> Only the /dev/md0 exists! You may instruct user to create them using mknod
Prepare harddrive --> There is NO /dev/md1 (Ofcource it was created by me using mknod and mdadm) My system reports /dev/mapper/swap, /dev/mapper/root, /dev/mapper/data, /dev/mapper/data-home There is a bug here: Set filesystem mountpoints fails to format and create /boot aka /dev/mapper/data
Please correct your (useful) RAID Encryption LVM instructions.
