Merge with ssh?

Would it be a good idea to merge this page with the ssh-page? Or link to this page from the ssh page? Most info is duplicated/available on both pages. Aaahaaap 07:32, 14 December 2009 (EST)

IMO it is a separate topic and deserves its own page. I would merge the duplicate content onto this page and link to it from ssh. TheCox 11:06, 17 March 2010 (EDT)
This is a separate topic that should have its own page. Wooptoo 13:13, 13 June 2010 (EDT)

No, this definately is specific and separate enough to stand alone. I think links are great, and also we could use a page for all the network-based filesystems. (curlftpfs, nfs, etc.) AskApache 17:59, 16 August 2010 (EDT)

IMHO the sshfs page is cluttered with redundant stuff of SSH page. We should rebuild this page with a more "on workflow" approach. It's not easy to read all the info we collected here over time. --T.ask (talk) 13:09, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Close old topic. --Fengchao (talk) 08:38, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Chrooting users

In my short experiences, chrooting a sftp user (with ForceCommand sftp-internal and ChrootDirectory /path/to/dir) requires that the Subsystem sftp <...> declaration use sftp-internal. If I'm wrong, please tell me, or else I will change the wiki to match (in a few days). -- Izzette (talk) 01:51, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Add workaround

Maybe it will be useful to explain the option -o workaround=rename in order to overwrite file in the mounted system using kate, gedit, etc. Also when mounted using fstab
