Flagged article

I suggest that we do not delete this article, but if feasible test and verify if this is still feasible with open source ATI/NVIDIA/Intel drivers and expand as needed making sure to provide the relevant warnings and notes where relevant. There are forum posts that I found on DuckDuckGo from within the last year or two so this topic does seem to be of interest on occassion and having an article that can steer people in the right direction may help to get those people the answers they need. I didn't see why delete articles like this. Relevant feature, relevant info. For someone who seeks swap info, like me. If you have top-notch 6 GB card, and only look HD videos and doesn't use it most of the time, why doesn't take advantage or RAM storage. It is not SSD that count cycles. And maybe it faster that SSD? - PiroXiline (talk) 13:08, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
The problem with such feature is that very few people try/use it so no one could tell if it still works. So if any one used this feature recently, please report your result here. Thanks. --Fengchao (talk) 02:04, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
I believe that page should be deleted. I tried to use it with nouveau driver and it doesn't seem to work (doing any I/O breaks graphics). Additionally, it is not possible to use more space than specified in the region size, who would care about extra 64/128 MiB of RAM? Gentoo Wiki already removed the page on the same topic. remove rc.conf related info

I updated article by replacing old rconf stuff with systemd service. I'm not sure though if this tutorial works with Intel GPU-s, because it didn't work on my laptop. --Mikroskeem (talk) 23:15, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Updated "Out of date" section. Deleted rconf mention there. - PiroXiline (talk) 13:08, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Info looks legit, and looks like all today tools systems are used. - PiroXiline (talk) 13:08, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Maybe I going to test. - PiroXiline (talk) 13:08, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Close. --Fengchao (talk) 02:04, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
