A note on syncthing-inotify potentially breaking other software

I recently ran into this - syncthing-inotify used up all my inotify watches, and broke multiple things, including PulseAudio. I believe we should mention this in the section on syncthing-inotify, as well as link to a way of increasing the number of watches. This is not even a very unlikely problem, as I was only keeping about 10G of data in sync. I didn't want to make an edit immediately, but if there are no objections, I will happily add this information. KozRoss (talk) 22:47, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Can you be more specific on how it broke things? -- Rdeckard (talk) 01:50, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
It used up all all available inotify watches. This meant that, on startup, PulseAudio's daemon wouldn't even start (and thus, left me with no sound, with no explanation). I only discovered this by trying to start the daemon manually (at which point it gave me a very condescending error message, slagging off an altogether-different project for using up all inotify watches). I also had other weird behaviours (certain programs wouldn't load or would freeze, for example) even before I rebooted, but the PA thing was a specific problem I saw appear on two different machines. -- KozRoss (talk) 02:32, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
