This article left me wondering about a lot of things I couldn't find information on. Does anyone know how the graphical file managers implement Trash? Or do they outsource this to some of their dependencies? I.e. I use Nemo on the Budgie DE, and my home directory automatically got a trash can where things get deleted from the home directory, but for the other partitions, I needed to manually create the .Trash directory with the parameters described in the FreeDesktop specification, and this only works for physical partitions, when I experimented with tempfs, the .Trash directory doesn't get utilized there.
I'd add this info here or if it's implemented in the file manager, maybe this should be on the wiki page for that too?
