I care about things:
- Applications conforming to the XDG base directory specification.
I expect Arch Linux to be a little more strict with its policies, notably:
- Switch to a minimal, POSIX-conformant shell (e.g. dash) as the default provider of
/bin/shin Arch Linux (quite a few distributions, including Debian, have already switched).
- Removal (or redefinition) of the base group, as it is currently too large, but users are nevertheless expected to have all packages in there installed (as some package maintainers seem to refuse adding packages from the base group to dependency lists).
