Who Am I

Greetings!

I am BruticusBob (or Robert, if you prefer). Obviously I am an avid Arch Linux fan and tech nut in general. I have been using Arch for 53 years, on and off, but finally made it my only OS in June of 2012. I have extensively used just about every operating system ever made and have owned the hardware to run them. My last switch to Arch was from Mac OS X, which until then was my favorite. Using Linux since back before Jesus walked through Omaha, I am relatively well versed in this incredible OS (or kernel or whatever). I first downloaded Linux when it was still possible to install it from 3 floppy disks! And it came with X and a window manager! I know 4 computer programming languages and am comfortable in 6 more (and Visual Basic isn't one of them). I have been into computers longer than there has been dirt on the Earth, from ECI/ECCO mainfraims to all of the newest gadgets. Technology is simply facinating. But there is always more to learn and my brain isn't full yet, so I will continue on this path until my demise. For example, I've been watching Star Trek forever but just learned that star dates aren't real! Go figure.

Any how, nice to meet you,

Bruticus
