My Name is Carlos Lorenzo Matés, I'm from Spain, I was born in Vigo a small city of about 300.000 inhabitants, but I live in A Coruña (smaller one, about 175.000), both are in Galicia, Northwest of Spain.

I have been with Computers since 1985 in the early Commodore 64 and spectrum days. I spent these young times playing roleplaying games like Ultima III, and sports games like Commodore Basketball and spectrum soccer, also learning programming languages like assembler, and basic.

Later in 1989 I was the proudly owner of an Amiga 500 that evolved to an Amiga 1200 up to 1996, then I begun my road with 3D design with Imagine 3D, Lightwave, also a little DTP (we published a local roleplaying game magazine) using pagestream. My programming languages changed to C and C++, and my playing times to Kick off, Goal, Uridium and some roleplaying games (Ultima Series included), also I began my strategic games passion with games such Warlords, etc.

My Linux Experience began at the 1996 Installing Slackware in my Amiga 1200, this was a hard task, all has to be done by hand (Arch is much more automatic than this :-)

In 1987 I have bougth my first PC and Installed Slackware on It, (windows was in their beginnings and coming from the Amiga worlds I wanted a decent Graphical System like X)
