I've been using Arch Linux since June, 2015. Before then, I was using Fedora and CentOS. At the time, I needed to run the current HEAD of glibc, until the next version came out. I found that it bricked Fedora 22, and the reason was because Fedora had so many distribution-specific patches. Adding those brought Fedora 22 back to life, but left a bad taste in my mouth. I switched mainly because Arch has a preference for vanilla packages, and because its PKGBUILD is way easier to read and much shorter than Fedora's .spec files.
