Hello!

My name is Frank.

I have been using Linux for several years, starting with RH 7.3 after fighting with Debian Potato for a long while, then switching back to Debian with Woody and becoming addicted to apt. I jumped over to Ubuntu for a while because it happened to come out when I was trying to switch from KDE to GNOME, and warty was essentially exactly what I was trying to achieve. I kept switching back and forth between Fedora and Ubuntu for several years after that whenever each would release, and getting used to the latest and greatest software made going back to Debian impossible for me.

When these projects moved to default images larger than CD size, I began looking for other distros, and dabbled with Arch among others. I became very interested in systemd along that road though and so coming back to Arch was not possible until they switched to this. Now Arch is simply the best systemd-based system, others are simply too bloated, so I think I will be sticking around - which has given me permission to actually customize this thing, something I never really bothered to do on other distros because I knew I would reinstall soon.

I am also very pleased to be back with KDE, which for some reason I never use with pre-built distros, but always with DIY distros. This and pacman have really improved my computing experience, I have missed playing with my system! Linux has become fun again for me, and for that I am thankful.
