I'm a long timer Debian user (10 years +) that got pissed off with their playground politics and arrogance. Specifically I got very angry when they started to drop the GNU info documentation for GNU apps like emacs and bash without replacing it.

I looked around for a decent depend package based distro and thought I'd give archlinux a try. I am very, very impressed.

This wiki is brilliant as well... and most archlinux people are very friendly.
