This is new to me. I don't know what to expect.

I just ( well, actually it has been several difficult days ) installed Archlinux and got everything I needed working.

It started with a release called "Don't Panic" which generated a kernel panic upon booting, and ended with finding out the tricks of getting mySql running with Java and PHP on my website. So it all works now. I believe Archlinus is what I have been looking for. Simple, concise, clean, pure...

I have my own installation of OpenOffice, Java, Tomcat, jEdit, Geany, Acroread, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird and others.

I can easily switch between Java 1.4 and 1.5, Tomcat 5.0 and 5.5, etc. The best part is that Archlinux let's that all happen. Minimal set of dependencies. Not forced to include dependencies if I don't want/need them.

Nice. May it be stable and simple and keep working...
