Hi, 2 reasons for my edit:
  1. Making a file executable is a very basic skill that we should take for granted: for those few who don't know how to do it yet, the executable link to centralized instructions will be more instructive than those examples, also in accordance with Help:Reading#Organization and Help:Style#Hypertext metaphor.
  2. By the way in which you wrote the chmod command, under a #!/bin/sh header, it looked like it had to be put inside another script, which, besides being redundant, would have required to make that very script executable with an additional (and unmentioned) manual chmod command.
