This edit removed several sections including "Avoiding timeouts", "Port 6600 already in use" and "Crackling sound with some audio files". This information looks useful for me and I belive that you removed it by mistake. Could you please comment on this? --AlexanderR 01:55, 23 February 2012 (EST)

Sure. I removed the "avoiding timeouts" part because it actually contained information covering several topics: encodings, http streaming and binding to a different address. Most clients now have reconnect capabilites (at least ncmpc and ncmpcpp do). The "Port 6600 already in use" issue arises due to misconfiguration, because the user has made mpd use a port, that is already in use. As the port setting has already been shown, I think it isn't too necessary to mention it again. But I agree that the netstat part could be useful. The "Crackling sound with some audio files" has been removed because it practically undoes the steps shown in the section that covers mpd up- and downsampling. But I agree that I may have cut a little too much on some parts, I'll look into it this evening. Thanks for reading my changes btw :) --N0stradamus 09:06, 23 February 2012 (EST)
