You removed my warning on bcache: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Bcache&action=history. Why?

I removed the warning because I thought it wasn't relevant anymore. By that point in time the patches that fixed the bug had landed both in 5.13, which was mentioned in the warning, and in 5.12.11 which wasn't mentioned in the warning. linux 5.12.11 and 5.12.12 had already been released to arch users, for almost a week in the case of 5.12.11, and I tested them myself on my bcache enabled system and the bug was gone.
Keeping the warning as it was given that the bug had already been fixed in 5.12.11 seemed wrong to me, so I removed it. Maybe, probably, it would have been better to add that it was fixed in 5.12.11 and wait a while longer before removing the warning.
In retrospect I acted a bit hastily though and I should have consulted with you and other wiki users about the best course of action removing the warning, updating it, or something else, and for that I apologize. I'm sorry if I overstepped, it won't happen again.

Thanks. I'll add a warning for v5.12 to 5.12.10. Didn't know it was fixed for 5.12.11. I'm still using LTS. Tharbad (talk) 20:39, 5 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
