Systemd drop-in snippets
I noticed you are working on a page about systemd drop-in snippets. There's already a section for that on the systemd page. It begins at Systemd#Editing_provided_units, and that's where we've been linking for that topic. Rdeckard (talk) 12:42, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, well the idea was to just have an entry to simply look up the term and keep the article succinct. Now one cannot click on the term drop-in snippet anymore in order to look it up. You think that is better? Y guy (talk) 12:47, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- I think you should just do something like this
[[Systemd#Editing_provided_units|drop-in snippet]]which results in this (links to current page): drop-in snippet. No need to create a new page. We can also create a redirect for the term "drop-in snippet" to go to Systemd#Editing_provided_units. - I think the redirect should go to Systemd#Editing_provided_units, since that is the beginning of that section and is what other articles are already linking to when using the phrase "drop-in snippet".

- It was done already - still now there is no "what links here" anymore for drop-in snippet - I don't quite see the merit of that. Never mind.

- In what way does it not work? You might be experiencing a MediaWiki bug, if it is only redirecting to the systemd page and not the correct section. This will hopefully be corrected soon. - Rdeckard (talk) 13:55, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- OIC - well I have to correct the statement: putting double brackets around the special term drop-in snippet does not work in Qupzilla, even with emptied cache. That linking does - however - work flawlessly in firefox. Thx for the hint. Topic kinda closed now.Y guy (talk) 14:02, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
