Networking

Wireless

The Atheros WLAN chip is fully supported by ath9k, which is automatically loaded at boot without need to add it in /etc/rc.conf.

Power Management

CPU frequency scaling

You probably want to use laptop-mode-utils with acpi.

# pacman -S laptop-mode-utils acpi

Xorg

You'll want xf86-video-intel

You'll get a really jumpy touchpad if you don't install xf86-input-synaptics

Issues

You won't be able to adjust brightness under linux.

Temporary fix: add acpi_osi= to /boot/grub/menu.lst

# # (0) Arch Linux
# title Arch Linux
# root (hd0,1)
# kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/sda7 ro acpi_osi=
# initrd /kernel26.img
