SSD

(to be confirmed) The SSD device is attached to PATA, and the SATA controller does nothing. Supposedly the hard drive option would be on SATA.

I'm using EXT3 currently, but supposedly some other filesystem would suit a flash drive better. Need to research. The mount options noatime, nodiratime should be used to prevent extraneous writes. Ext2 might be a better idea, because the journal writes cause lots of writes as well.

Ethernet

Standard Arch kernel 2.6.25 in the 2008.06 core image detects the ethernet controller, but pinging anything fails to work. After an upgrade to latest kernel, it works again.

WLAN

As seen here, it should be supported.

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006EG 802.11 b/g Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

Kernel 2.6.26 has a native driver, but WPA does not seem to work there. Madwifi is the typical solution for Atheros wlan, but I haven't tried that yet.

Audio

Typical Intel HD Audio.

Video

Typical Intel chipset. Works with the xf86-video-intel driver. 400ish on glxgears. There's a VGA port, haven't tried that out yet.
