Environment

Wine 1.3.1 does not work, tested with 1.3.7 successfully

For network play, you need to install IPX. It can be found in aur:[1]

  • After this, ipx can be added to your network card like this:
# ipx_interface add -p eth0 802.2 0x12345678
# ifconfig
eth0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:21:70:BE:44:EA
         inet addr:10.12.21.104  Bcast:10.12.21.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
         inet6 addr: fe80::221:70ff:febe:44ea/64 Scope:Link
         IPX/Ethernet 802.2 addr:12345678:002170BE44EA
         UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
         RX packets:19768 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
         TX packets:16693 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
         collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
         RX bytes:22185092 (21.1 Mb)  TX bytes:2131056 (2.0 Mb)
         Interrupt:46 Base address:0x6000
  • you can remove ipx like this (IPX is also removed when the PC is rebooted):
# ipx_interface del eth0 802.2
