Introduction

Bioperl is a set of scripts in perl language to aid researchers in Computer Biology and Bioinformatics. This is a very basic guide to install bioperl in Archlinux, it doesn't aim to be comprehensive so users can complement it over time.

Installation

You can find Bioperl in the AUR http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=22596. The installation process covers the usage of yaourt to install packages from the AUR.

Dependencies

First install the dependencies:

  1. sudo pacman -S perl-io-string
  2. yaourt -S perl-data-stag

Then, the bioperl package should be installed without trouble:

  1. yaourt -S bioperl

Configuration

After installing from the AUR, it is adviced to
