Common Window Manager (CWM) is an X11 window manager originally deriving from evilwm, but because the code base of evilwm did not accommodate the new features that were being added, so the code was re-written from scratch. It aims at being very simple, and has some handy features such as searching for windows.


You can install cwm via the AUR package (Click Here). Installation methods include packer (More Info). yaourt (More Info), and the traditional way of building packages (PKGBUILD). It requires libx11 and libxft, and of course, Xorg. .
