The Dell Latitude E6400 is the successor to the Dell Latitude D630. This article will tell you how to get the basic components of the laptop running with Arch.

The Official Arch Linux Install Guide should get you running without a problem.

Hardware

The Dell E6400 comes with the following hardware:

  • Audio: Intel ICH9
  • Video: Intel x4500MHD or NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M
  • Wireless NIC: Dell 1510 (Broadcom 43xx), Intel 5100, or Intel 5300
  • Optional: Modem, Bluetooth, Webcam, and WWAN card
