The Dell Latitude E6400 is the successor to the Dell Latitude D630. This article will tell you how to get the basic components of the laptop running with Arch.

The current official release (as of January 12, 2009) does not support the onboard Ethernet card. To have network access for the latest packages, the 12.2008 ISO from the forums is required. Aside from that, the Official Arch Linux Install Guide should get you running without a problem.

The machine used had the following hardware: Audio: Intel ICH9 Video: NVIDIA Wireless NIC: Dell 1510 (Broadcom 43xx) It did not have the optional modem, bluetooth card, or webcam.
