Dracut creates an initial image used by the kernel for preloading the block device modules (such as IDE, SCSI or RAID) which are needed to access the root filesystem. This replaces [[mkinitcpio]] in Arch Linux in the near future.

dracut creates an initial image used by the kernel for preloading the block device modules (such as IDE, SCSI or RAID) which are needed to access the root filesystem. This replaces mkinitcpio in Arch Linux in the near future.
