video

Video works fine with the open source ATI drivers (xf86-video-ati) and includes hardware acceleration. I have not tried the closed-source ATI drivers yet and need to confirm HDMI and VGA output works.

wireless

The Atheros card is this laptop has open source drivers so nothing special is needed.

sound

The basic sound works out of the box but the subwoofer does not. This apparently requires some alsa tweaks which I will explore later.

clickpad

The touchpad is known as a clickpad. This is the biggest pain and am still working to get it working correctly.
