SATA and Linux

If there are boot problems, try going from AHCI to compatibility in the BIOS. I don't really know what is going on here, but my computer works in compatibility, I haven't tried AHCI.

Wireless

Intel 4965 WiFi

If, like me, you chose the free upgrade, well, that sucks for you, there are no drivers. Ndiswrapper can work, but make sure you use the NETw4x32 drivers, the others won't work.

Widescreen

Hwd did not do the monitor widescreen (1280x800) properly, and it was instead doing 1024x768. In xorg.conf, here is the relevant section: Section "Screen"

       Identifier "Screen0"
       Device "Card0"
       Monitor "Monitor0"
       DefaultColorDepth 24
       SubSection "Display"
               Depth 24
               Modes "1200x800"
       EndSubSection
