The Logitech M570 is a wireless trackball mouse. It is quite similar to the Logitech_Marble_Mouse, however, it is quite unlikely to find the Marble Mouse page when searching for information about the Logitech M570 is quite unlikely. Therefore this page serves two purposes, to document the differences between the two devices and the increase the findability of the information that also applies to the M570 on aforementioned page.

Installation

No drivers need to be installed.

Sample configuration

On a current (Feb 2017) Arch/Antergos modifying the 10-evdev.conf file did not work. Appending the following to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf did work:

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf
Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Logitech M570"
        MatchProduct "Logitech M570"
        Driver "libinput"
        Option "ScrollMethod" "button"
        Option "ScrollButton" "3"
	Option "MiddleEmulation" "on"
EndSection
