Installation

MiniDLNA is an extremely simple piece of software to configure, requiring almost no effort or input at all.

After installing with the command

pacman -S minidlna

Edit the configuration file to match your specific network. There are only two areas that need to be changed normally:

media_dir=#{YOUR_MEDIA_DIRECTORY}#

friendly_name=#{YOUR_DLNA_SHARE_NAME}#

If you experience a problem and you have two (or more) network interfaces (including bridges) then the network_interface option should be set according to your specific configuration.

As a useful tidbit, logging only occurs if you have the logging directory line in place.
