French wiki

What about suggesting French translators to contribute to ? -- Kynikos 09:04, 28 January 2012 (EST)

Oh, you're right. I didn't know about french wiki. -- Seberm 12:04, 28 January 2012 (EST)
This might be a good opportunity to coordinate the moving and/or merging any remaining French content from to -- pointone 13:12, 28 January 2012 (EST)
The call for French translators has been removed, and the moving/merging thing is discussed in ArchWiki:Requests#Move/Merge articles to external wikis, closing. -- Kynikos (talk) 16:39, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

What about renaming the article/event as "ArchWiki Translation Day" (instead of simply "Arch")? Otherwise somebody may think that we're calling for software translators. -- Kynikos 09:04, 28 January 2012 (EST)

The original idea was translation of both - ArchWiki and software. Now it's only about translation of wiki. Yes, maybe it's better to rename it but what is the best way to do it? Should I create new article called "ArchWiki Translation Day" and the old article redirect to the new one? If you want you can rename it. Or I can do it tomorrow. -- Seberm 12:07, 28 January 2012 (EST)
Done (just click on the "move" label at the top of the page). -- Kynikos 10:51, 29 January 2012 (EST)

Move "Create a new page and its translation"

Info in this section is very important for translators. But this page is a little hard to find. Why not move it to a more generic page such as ArchWiki Translation Team? -- Fengchao 22:51, 31 January 2012 (EST)

Agreed. You've already done it so I'm closing this discussion. -- Kynikos 08:46, 4 February 2012 (EST)
