the initial purpose is to write a detail instruction on backlight seeting. Because backlight setting is messy and confused. But this wiki is not finished yet. I try to expand it into a more detail one.

Maybe we could add a short one in laptop page and keep a more detail one here.

If you're going to expand the article you can change the Template:Merge to template:Stub and add a link (not a summary) to this page in Laptop and vice versa. Keep up the good work! -- Kynikos 04:37, 18 May 2011 (EDT)

In my opinion, this page has now diverged from laptops and is now more general. I think it would go better together with color management and ICC than with the laptop section. Actually, in the long run, I think we should even aim for a general "healthy computing" page and link to this one from there. -- Korpenkraxar 2011-08-24

Yes, probably the Merge request could be removed now, you could try to interlink this article with others related, at the moment the only page that links here is IMac Aluminium... -- Kynikos 05:44, 25 August 2011 (EDT)
IMO, merging with an article named "Laptop" is not a the best idea in the first place. Neither eye strain or power management are exclusive to the domain of laptops or battery powered devices. I'm half tempted to say that much of Laptop should be pulled out into a more generic article about power management. I think its a bit off center to think of power management as something only laptop users care about. James Eder 13:51, 25 August 2011 (EDT)
