This page is confusing for beginners, due to some of the language. I'm going to try to clear things up a bit.

I have now moved things around, and cleaned things up a bit. If someone can put up some information on Bluetooth for other DEs, I think that we can remove the stub banner. --[[User:Arcanazar|Arcanazar]] 13:09, 7 July 2009 (EDT)

Turn off on startup

Does anyone knows how to turn off the bluetooth on start-up? (automatically)

Remove bluetooth from your daemons array? -- pointone 12:04, 20 March 2010 (EDT)
I want daemon to be runned but i also want bluetooth to be switched off (in gnome it shows "Bluetooth Disabled")Browcio 13:32, 20 March 2010 (EDT)
Try to change InitiallyPowered = true parameter value to false in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf. According to comments in main.conf it may work.--Mukhametshin 19:24, 26 June 2011 (EDT)

No hid2hci command

I think hid2hci has been removed from bluez. So what to do when "hcitool scan: Device not found"?

hid2chi is still there; see pacman -Ql bluez | grep hid2hci or Bluetooth#hcitool_scan:_Device_not_found -- ChariotOfFire (talk) 07:31, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
