Relocating Firefox specific content

Should this be moved back into Firefox? Dres 15:40, 16 January 2010 (EST)

The only Firefox-specific content I see is Browser Plugins#Plugins cannot be downloaded; the other troubleshooting tips are valid for other browsers (which tend to use the $MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH as well). This could easily be moved back.

I can't personally gage on that, so I delegate to what's been pointed out. Dres 03:25, 23 January 2010 (EST)

TODO: mozplugger

mozplugger certainly deserves mention here.

Permissions of /usr/bin/mozilla/ going to 700

While for use they need 755, apparently. Should this be filed as a bug? Jasper1984 08:29, 30 December 2010 (EST)

plugin location

firefox (3.6.13) on arch 64 bit does look at /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

instead of

~/mozilla/plugins/ or ~/.mozilla/plugins/

at least for I need to link to the correct /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins for it to work

Custom udev rules removal

Is this still a problem in light of the recent custom udev rules removal? -- Karol 03:36, 31 May 2011 (EDT)

It was added on January 16th 2010. I think there's no way it's still a problem, since blacklisting snd-pcm-oss is now useless regardless of why you'd do it. -- Kynikos 08:27, 1 June 2011 (EDT)
I've changed it "a bit". Does anyone know if I need to unload snd_mixer_oss too? -- Karol 09:28, 1 June 2011 (EDT)
To have an answer, you should manage to reproduce the problem. However in the previous version there was no mention of snd_mixer_oss, so I would leave it as it is now. -- Kynikos 05:02, 2 June 2011 (EDT)

Flashplugin Blue Tint and Leaking Overlay

The solutions to both of these consist of Nvidia patches/tweaks. Do these issues effect ATi (AMD) GPUs?

Blue Tint: [1]

Leaking Overlay: [2]

Additional blue tint solution

It seems that the flashplugin-square package from AUR does not have the Blue Tint problem. Although I've only tested it with libvdpau-git-flashpatch
