Talk:CPU frequency scaling
CPU Dynamic Frecuency Control daemon is listed as cpudyn, not cpudynd
package is at http://archlinux.org/packages.php?id=3298
I think this article should be moved to a more generic title, like "CPU Frequency Scaling", and SpeedStep and PowerNow (Cool'n'Quiet) should redirect to it. Since the only difference between a Centrino and a K8 s the name of the driver, this would reduce unnecessary pages.
Anyone think that an out of date template should be added? The pages which link here say it is partly obsoleteAlex anthony 19:30, 22 January 2008 (EST)
I just moved and updated the page.--Jarda-wien 16:05, 19 March 2008 (EDT)
The section "Notes for Dual/MultiCore processors: " is unneeded according to cpufreq-info on my AMD K8's which shows both cores as scaled without these extra tweaks. Perhaps they only apply to certain processors or are obsolete and can be removed? H 13:29, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
