:: It makes sense, as it's the only way to run Chromium sensibly on low-end machines. In single-process mode it's mostly usable on computers with 2GB of RAM, and it works well. Leaving multi-process on usually consumes such 2GBs on the third tab, if one's lucky. Of course if a single tab crashes, then the entire browser crashes, but it's quite stable one way or another. User Agent

I've noticed that changing the user agent as suggested, using chromium flags, actually has the reversed effect i.e. you become "more" unique vs. not using this flag. Therefore be sure you test both variants... Archydan (talk) 13:38, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Also, its worth keeping in mind that methods other than User Agents are involved in Fingerprinting, "The site you are visiting may choose to analyze your browser using JavaScript, Flash and other methods. It may look for what types of fonts you have installed, the language you’ve set, the add-ons you’ve installed, and other factors."

Memory usage

Re [3], there was a clear warning regarding the nature of these options so I see no reason why it can't be documented... besides that the deleted section included other tips such as extensions. -- Alad (talk) 21:00, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Reverted for now. I don't think it makes any sense to document the single-process setting however, as it is clearly discouraged by upstream. We could leave the link though, and let the reader choose an option for themselves ("Process-per-site" or "Process-per-tab"). Lonaowna (talk) 21:32, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

It makes sense, as it's the only way to run Chromium sensibly on low-end machines. In single-process mode it's mostly usable on computers with 2GB of RAM, and it works well. Leaving multi-process on usually consumes such 2GBs on the third tab, if one's lucky. Of course if a single tab crashes, then the entire browser crashes, but it's quite stable one way or another.
