::I am an Italian user, I hope that my words do not seem to be offensive. That said, for example in Section E17#A solution or workaround for "Places" smiley faces and words (Yay!) are not appropriate for a wiki. I have not corrected because they are not a native English speaker. sorry Veleno 09:56, 11 October 2011 (EDT)

:::There's nothing offensive in your words :D You're right, I've removed the informal expressions, but the section remains poorly written and formatted.

:I re-read what I typed in the middle of the night, and I agree with you both that it was poorly written.  So I just went back and tried to improve it.  I could not get it into one paragraph, though.  As a matter of fact, I felt like it needed even more explanation.  Hope that helps. -- vsingleton 07:41, 11 October 2011 (EDT)

::I rewrited the paragraph. E17#A_workaround_that_gets_Places_working I deleted the redundant procedures (the procedures should be acknowledged). I add the template style. for me it is visually better. Now check the translation, and if it is correct you can delete this thread. Veleno 12:06, 12 November 2011 (EST)

Isn't the section describing the "Places" module relying on HAL out of date? I use the "Places" module without HAL and haven't had any issues.

Revision as of 13:52, 12 May 2012

Various things that reference get-e.org (various aur packages, etc) should be listed as 'outdated' and alternatives shown. As I haven't been paying attention for a month (and thus missed the closing of get-e.org) I missed this; had I not caught that it was closing TODAY I'd be really confused.

HAL no longer required

E17#udisk_vs._HAL

Also, in my opinion, the section about Modules and Gadgets should not be under troubleshooting.

E17#Modules_and_gadgets

I don't really know where else it would go but maybe making it a separate main heading would be the best idea. I could add some information about a few of the different modules and their uses.

I just wanted to see what everyone thought before I went ahead changing/adding that. Also, I'd like to confirm that no one else has issues with "Places" still. --Boswbr25 (talk) 02:55, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
