I don't agree with the complete removal of the installation section. Yes, there is a PKGBUILD, but one has to be given the option to install GitLab as their liking. Thoughts? I plan to revert this change if no one argues about it. Also, please discuss this first if you are about to delete so many sections. :Hey Maevius, thank you for offering a conversation about this issue. I did this because I thought the instruction here is just an out-of-date copy&paste from the official installation instruction. Further, I think the deployment in this case is far too complicated and that there should be an easier, more simple 'ArchLinux' way of doing it. On the other site, I must admit that my PKGBUILD in the AUR is not functional and I'm shocked that I wasn't able to get it working after several days :( Feel free to revert the changes since my approach doesn't seem to work but at least confirm, that the original instruction is working and is following the ArchLinux guidelines. --Onny (talk) 14:37, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

:: For starters thanks for contributing to the guide :) At first I was alone and was hard after some time to maintain it. Yes, I would like to revert it and maybe we can discuss what to remove/add in order to follow the Arch way you refer to. As for the PKGUBILD, I can test it and help you with it. A good idea would be to try mtorommeo's PKGBUILD on github and submit any issues you may have there. --Maevius (talk) 18:49, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

Removal of installation section

I don't agree with the complete removal of the installation section. Yes, there is a PKGBUILD, but one has to be given the option to install GitLab as their liking. Thoughts? I plan to revert this change if no one argues about it. Also, please discuss this first if you are about to delete so many sections. Thanks --Maevius (talk) 21:20, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Hey Maevius, thank you for offering a conversation about this issue.
For starters thanks for contributing to the guide :) At first I was alone and was hard after some time to maintain it. Yes, I would like to revert it and maybe we can discuss what to remove/add in order to follow the Arch way you refer to. As for the PKGUBILD, I can test it and help you with it.
