Fcron is no longer needed and has been replaced by Incron in Community. Should be edited.

dcron 4.x adds a variety of anacron-like features, and now handles systems that aren't constantly running. Perhaps the entire "more suitable cron" section is no longer needed.

The section on enabling unity seems obsolete.

For example, this link does not exist:

Did a large update to most sections, bringing the article up to date with the latest changes in open-vm-tools at the time of this writing. Corrected also information on Paravirtualization and removed the out-of-date flag at the top of the article to just cover the Unity section, which I don't have the ability to test at this moment.

As of 2011-02-05, I have a working Arch linux x64 in VMWare Player on Microsoft Windows 7. I have updated the section on Unity as I have got it working (not perfectly though-for one the menu to launch new apps does not show up). I have also been able to successfully shrink my virtual hard drives so I added some info on how to do that.
