Lightdm is not an official Arch package and the AUR is crowded with different PKGBUILDs which of some are really outdated.

Sources of Arch-centric 64x64 Icons

Instead of cp-ing would it be more appropriate to symlink?

# find /usr/share/archlinux/icons -name "*64*" -exec ln -s {} /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/devices \;
