If someone wants to put work into making this, it could be a useful page. Right now, it's just duplication of other articles. thestinger 15:32, 13 January 2011 (EST)

:This page is necessary, it just needs work. The 'general' category pages (like this one) are often the most useful for new users to the distro, or linux in general, to determine/learn what tools are available for different categories of tasks (multimedia, graphics-bitmap, graphics-vector, word processing, cd-burning, etc...)  Here what is needed is simply the addition of additional tools to make the page more useful. I'll add inkscape. Additionally, this page needs a "name change". 'Multimedia' is generally what includes CD ripping/burning, Music, etc... I originally got to the page by searching "graphics" under the wiki search box. Something like "Graphics Applications" or "Multimedia/Graphics Applications" seems more appropriate since the only reference to 'Sound' here is a 'See Sound' entry. -- Drankinatty 16:33, 22 May 2011 (EST)
