There's just too much duplication of work in the whole Wiki, so I'd suggest to concentrate on bringing [[ABS - The Arch Build System]] up to date [[Talk:ABS - The Arch Build System|(see there)]] and make this more into a glossary article with some links.

Maybe replace the abs section with "Makepkg is used by ABS - The Arch Build System.", with links to the ABS pages?  That would reduce the duplication.

I don't use ABS, but I use makepkg.  I unpack the source to a sub-directory of my home, and run makepkg from there.

Keeping this a separate page keeps makepkg easily findable from the wiki search box.

I'm not really happy about this article.

There's just too much duplication of work in the whole Wiki, so I'd suggest to concentrate on bringing ABS - The Arch Build System up to date (see there) and make this more into a glossary article with some links.

I think this should remain a separate page.

I don't use ABS, but I use makepkg. I unpack the source to a sub-directory of my home, and run makepkg from there.

Keeping this a separate page keeps makepkg easily findable from the wiki search box.
