|−|I'm not a postgresql expert (which is why I'm following these instructions), but the suggestion to change /var/lib/postgres/data/postgresql.conf to only listen on 127.0.0.1 seems wrong, when the default setting is to use 'localhost', which implies both 127.0.0.1 and ::1, (i.e. localhost on both IPv4 and IPv6). |+|

Nice work overall.
A few points you might want to add:
1. How to add custom modules (by adding the path to the config file)
2. How to enable debug mod for developing purposes (I'm assuming that Archlinux users are mostly Devs...)
3. Using 'odoo' as the PostgreSQL is just a convention.
